Lessons Learnt So Far

First of all, let me make this clear. The views shared here on this blog are my personal views, principles and life lessons learnt (You are encouraged to share yours in the comment box available below). So before I continue, you should have a peak at who I am and what point I am in life.

My name is Agomuo Eberechi Ruth. I hail from Afara Ukwu, Umuahia North, LGA, Abia State, Nigeria. A young, single lady and graduate of Information Resources Management from Babcock University, Ogun State. I also hold two professional certificates in Project Management. (Project Management Professional – PMP & Primavera 6 – P6). I am sure by now you have an idea of who is behind this write. So here are my views about life.

First, I believe there is a God (Jehovah) who is in control of the Universe. He created the whole world and all creatures are subject to him. The same God gave us his only son JESUS to die for us out of love for us (John 3:16). A relationship with him is life in itself.

Second, Share, give, love. Giving as taught by Jehovah above is a principle in life. When you love someone, you give and share with them, no matter how little you have. Giving should be a daily habit. Give someone your time, energy, money, an advice, attention, affection and so on. The joy derived from the smile on their faces cannot be estimated and your reward is in heaven. (Matthew 25: 35-40)

Third, life is not a competition. Everyone has their own journey and destination in life. My purpose is definitely different from yours. So why should I feel like I must take every step that you take? Buy, sell, eat, sleep, work, dress or talk like you? Any feeling that makes you want to compete with another individual, is totally wrong. I am excluding healthy, strategic, business competition in here.

Fourth, change is the only constant thing in life. Embrace it if it is a positive one. If it is a negative one, change it again for a better one. Change breeds times and seasons. Therefore the saying “there is time for everything” (Ecclesiastes 3:1-15).

Fifth, live life to the fullest. Love yourself and love life. I believe there are natural forces moving against us in life (because the devil Lucifer was thrown down from heaven for his pride and he is roaring around the earth stealing, killing, destroying and of course seeking whom to devour as in 1 peter 5:8 so why make it harder? Plus you can only love your neighbour LIKE you love yourself. (Mark 12:31).

Finally, perseverance is a huge factor to success in life. If you fail the first time, try, try, try again. You have probably heard of the light bulb inventor and scientist Thomas Edison.  I realised that lots of young people these days do not want to preserver. Everyone wants to be rich over night and some without even trying.

These are my few life lessons so far, what are yours? Please share, we might learn a thing or two.
