Painful Lose to the Eastern Nigerians (Senate Presidential Seat)
Political analysts have ascertained the lose of the easterners in producing the next Senate President or the Speaker of the House of Representative in the Gen Buhari-led administration come May 29th.
According to these political calculations, whoever must occupy these positions must come from the ruling party (APC). Since the number one and two positions have already been taken by Gen Buhari a Hausa man and Prof Osinbajo, a Yoruba man, the Igbos were favored to produce the third key official, the Senate President. But with all the 15 senatorial seats in the South East states of Anambra, Abia, Imo, Enugu & Ebonyi won by the PDP in last week's elections, the Igbos may have lost out in producing the next Senate president.
Senator Chris Ngige representing Anambra Central senatorial district who many believe was being positioned by the APC to be the next Senate President lost his bid to return to the Senate to PDP's Uche Ekwunife.
My Take, are we not all tired of this tribal politics? When is it going to stop? If In Jonathan's administration there was no westerner in any of the 1st three positions, there was not too much noise from the yorubas, why should this now be an issue? Let's just focus on good governance and peace would reign.
What is your take?
