Nigerian Men : Where is the Romance?



So a court in Lagos Nigeria just adjourned a case between a married couple. The wife wants a divorce from her bully husband who beats her for refusing him sex. The husband, Mr kehinde Infact agreed to hitting his wife for refusing him sex. He said she refuses him sex and says she is tired. The situation is she is always tired when she comes back from her trading business and guess what she is pregnant. 

One day, my sisters and I were hanging with my mum, just girls gist and she said "on a serious note never deny your husband sex, men don't take it lightly. Well at least now he cannot use that as an excuse to cheat". And I agree with her but of course I see how that can happens. Not like am making excuses for her but common she is pregnant. 

By the way, men what happened to romance? Did it die before reaching Africa? What happened to rubbing her feet and her back? Telling her something sweet (more like cajoling actually seducing her into have sex with you). Is hitting her the only resolve? 

It is strange how men do not see that no matter how hard hearted or tired a woman is *coughs* your wife, if she really loves you (which should be present in all marriages all things being equal), with a little, pampering and petting she would voluntarily have sex with you. No biggie *wink* thank me later.

Dates And Bills

This conversation has been ongoing for days somewhere on instagram and am pretty fascinated. Males and females have been on each other's throat.  The men first started calling Nigerian women out for always wanting and taking from men and never contributing to dates. They have on many occasions called Nigerian women desperate, gluttons and covetous as they only want men to spend on them/pay all their bills, emphasis was laid on dates. They say women never pay on dates. The women also spoke up and defended themselves as some blatantly see nothing wrong with the guy to pay on dates and taking care of their lady's bills while other gave instances where they had taken care of everything and still the men cheated or was violent towards them and still left. Genotype and Marriage

Hello MEB readers, a very happy Sunday to everyone. Hope you are having a restful evening. Now this genotype issue has been in my thoughts. (I know you think it's about me. Nah not at all,  I just have roaming thoughts a lot and often wonder what others think about certain societal issues) I think every time I write, people raise eyebrows in my corner. *smiles* Now medically it is adviceable that an AS carrier should not marry another AS carrier for the fear of producing an SS (sickle cell anemia)  child.  It is said that the couple has 25% probability of having an SS child or children. I.e for every 4 children they have atleast one will be SS.
