HAPPY 2017


A very happy new year MEB readers (Miss Eby Blog readers). Yes I know, I know but it is still January *tongue out*. I haven't written to you this year so it's still a new year on this blog. How are you and hope your year started off awesome?. Well mine did. 

I see every new year as a gift from God for a fresh start. I love how we do it in my family, we all seat around the sitting room and count our blessings and achievements for the previous year one after the other (I hope to imbibe this in my future nuclear family) and then we give thanks, sing praises, list out our hopes and expectations for the new year, pray and ask God for grace, strength, direction, divine favour to accomplish them. It is usually very fun and intimate. 

Last year was great actually despite the whole "recession" season. This year I know is going to be awesome. Even with the recession, we are going to soar higher and higher. With obedience, great faith, focus and perceiverance, we will come out victorious. 

This year, there came another level of consciousness of self love. Of course I have always loved myself but the awareness that first, you must learn to love yourself, second that how you love and hence treat yourself is directly proportional to how people will most likely treat you. Third, that a person's happiness should never be fully dependent on another human because of the word INCONSISTENCY.

As humans, we are so full of inconsistent behavior. Although the level of inconsistency varies, we at one point or another exhibit inconsistent behaviors. Other times, nature, processes, time factor makes us behave in inconsistent ways even when our intentions are right.

So 2017, I intend to be really HAPPY and live life without handing anyone the key to my happiness. Yes a person can do a few things that make you happy, but shouldn't be THE source. Let God be the source and let joy and peace be in you. Have a fun and HAPPY year ahead.

I woke up this morning with the radio loud in my ears, "she belongs to my kitchen, the living room and the other room" and am like "ohhhh am tired of this, please can we move on to something else please?". Dates And Bills

This conversation has been ongoing for days somewhere on instagram and am pretty fascinated. Males and females have been on each other's throat.  The men first started calling Nigerian women out for always wanting and taking from men and never contributing to dates. They have on many occasions called Nigerian women desperate, gluttons and covetous as they only want men to spend on them/pay all their bills, emphasis was laid on dates. They say women never pay on dates. The women also spoke up and defended themselves as some blatantly see nothing wrong with the guy to pay on dates and taking care of their lady's bills while other gave instances where they had taken care of everything and still the men cheated or was violent towards them and still left. They also argued that why will a guy ask to take them out and insist they pay. Genotype and Marriage

Hello MEB readers, a very happy Sunday to everyone. Hope you are having a restful evening. Now this genotype issue has been in my thoughts. (I know you think it's about me. Nah not at all,  I just have roaming thoughts a lot and often wonder what others think about certain societal issues) I think every time I write, people raise eyebrows in my corner. *smiles* Now medically it is adviceable that an AS carrier should not marry another AS carrier for the fear of producing an SS (sickle cell anemia)  child.  It is said that the couple has 25% probability of having an SS child or children. I.e for every 4 children they have atleast one will be SS. Which is not absolute because the 25% can show up on all the offsprings.  Over the years, there has been different suggested solutions from medical professionals.
