Birthday Thank You


Hello MEB readers, I know it's like two days after my birthday but still basking in the birthday glow. It has been a really fun weekend and it is not yet over *wink*. Just want to use this medium to say a big, fat, huge thank you to all my friends and family on Facebook, instagram all the medias who took out time to text, call and wish my twin and I well. May God bless you all and celebrate you at every stage life. I felt really special. Still feeling it sef. 

Some years back, I used to think well It's just a birth day. But in recent times, I realized that it is not just the day two princesses were born but the day God brought two princesses who would grow into beautiful, influencial Queens. Then it struck, that every year we celebrate, we should realise that God has graciously led us into a new year, new phase of life out of love for us and that we still have a chance to fulfill his Purpose and our purpose and passion in this life. 

This past year, I learnt a couple of new things. Not new per say but just brought to memory few lessons. First, God's love is sufficient for us, it's never too late to reconcile with him and let him lead, second, the difference between joy and happiness. Happiness comes as a result of events, happenings around you that makes you happy but joy is from within. You choose joy, God gives Joy from inside that is not dependent on anything or situations around you. Third, that self awareness and realization is huge gain. Knowing who you are, what you want and where you are heading is paramount. It cures all types of craze (relationship craze, religious, mental, academic, career, business craze). It brings precision in taking next steps. After that comes determination and work. Fourth, that you have every right to grow From who you are yesterday to a better version of yourself today. No apologies to anyone. Growth is part of life. Enjoy it. 

Finally, in seasons like these (new year of life) I am reminded of the inestimable Worth of this amazing family God bore me into. My very caring, kind yet firm parents, my most loving and considerate younger sisters (d Chis) and partner in plenty Crimes and life, my twin. You know, a twin guy in church said "God being all knowing made sure he was accompanied by a partner, it's a rare gift" and I agree. 

Again thank you all my friends list family for all the love shown towards us. We really appreciate it. And pray God blesses you all in all his riches and abundance. May people celebrate you. In a Jesus name, Amen. And yes we are still accept gifts in cash. Lol.

Dates And Bills

This conversation has been ongoing for days somewhere on instagram and am pretty fascinated. Males and females have been on each other's throat.  The men first started calling Nigerian women out for always wanting and taking from men and never contributing to dates. They have on many occasions called Nigerian women desperate, gluttons and covetous as they only want men to spend on them/pay all their bills, emphasis was laid on dates. They say women never pay on dates. The women also spoke up and defended themselves as some blatantly see nothing wrong with the guy to pay on dates and taking care of their lady's bills while other gave instances where they had taken care of everything and still the men cheated or was violent towards them and still left. They also argued that why will a guy ask to take them out and insist they pay. Genotype and Marriage

Hello MEB readers, a very happy Sunday to everyone. Hope you are having a restful evening. Now this genotype issue has been in my thoughts. (I know you think it's about me. Nah not at all,  I just have roaming thoughts a lot and often wonder what others think about certain societal issues) I think every time I write, people raise eyebrows in my corner. *smiles* Now medically it is adviceable that an AS carrier should not marry another AS carrier for the fear of producing an SS (sickle cell anemia)  child.  It is said that the couple has 25% probability of having an SS child or children. I.e for every 4 children they have atleast one will be SS. Which is not absolute because the 25% can show up on all the offsprings.  Over the years, there has been different suggested solutions from medical professionals.
